I have had several of my regular female clients over the age of 60 that I have been training for several years, have improved bone density tests since starting our training. One of the ladies went from osteoporosis to osteopenia in 2 years. Another went from osteopenia to normal bone density. And the third, who was already in the normal range when she started, actually gained bone density. All of these women trained regularly with me two to three times per week consistently between bone density tests. This is consistent with reports that show resistance training being the best stimulus for promoting bone growth
