Bruno’s a pro. I trained under his guidance for roughly 2 years and learned a ton. He’s extremely knowledgable; He’s generous with is time; He pushed me to be better. I have some physical issues with my back and Bruno was accommodating and helped me work through lifts, pulls, and exercises that would help me make the gains I was looking for while also preventing injury.When I’m ready to train again, Bruno will be my first call.
John Bruno is the most knowledgeable personal trainer I’ve ever worked with (I’ve trained with 6 others). John takes great pains to get to know your strengths and weaknesses, and then he formulates the sessions to address the weaknesses, but is very careful not to push the trainee too hard while progressing.
He is very knowledgeable about how to stay safe while exercising and he is very good at explaining it in a way that is easy to understand and apply when I am working out on my own. I like that it is not just running and weight lifting with him and that he incorporates TRX, yoga, and body weight exercises. Thank you!

I was spending a few months in Florida and wanted to change up my workout routine. John was fantastic to workout with. I’m not new to training and he taught me so many things, really taking time to explain the why’s. Working out with Bruno has been awesome. I came to him because I wanted to get back into the gym after a 8 year hiatus and also to help me with some back pain (2 bulging disc) that I’ve had for about 10 years. John is great. He is very good at what he does, and I attribute it to his endless experience and passion. He takes his time to review the safe and correct way to perform movements and exercises. I never feel rushed through a session. I have made many gains and learned a great deal from him.

He’s very good about explaining what you’re doing, what muscles you’re targeting and really patient with teaching proper form. John is an exceptional trainer. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about his work. He tailors the training to each client’s needs, keeping their safety as his priority. John has helped me rehab my knee from an injury. I was still able to work toward my fitness goals while protecting my knee. He is also very personable.
I’ve gone to personal trainers throughout the Northeast United States before moving to Sarasota and John is the best that I have ever been to. I reached out to him two months into the pandemic while working from home. I found my muscles in a state of atrophy and I was slowly putting on weight. I’m over 50 now and knew it would only get more difficult to reverse if I waited too much longer. I searched for someone online and was instantly impressed by his resume – which is understated. He is so intelligent, and the workouts are never boring. At this point, I am five months in at 3 times per week and I have never felt this strong. The best part – I have not suffered a single injury while training with John. I have always suffered injuries when moving through my own workout plans and the setbacks have lasted months. When I injure myself outside of our training (tennis most recently), he is quick to tweak our plan not only for healing, but to strengthen to prevent injury in the future. Sometimes it is hard to measure strength when you do not use your muscles outside of working out. I remember getting on a flight about 3 months into my training and being able to place my heavy suitcase into the overhead bin with complete ease. That made me feel about 15 years younger and stronger. BTW, I had to choose three out of five reasons that I like to work with John – would have selected all five attributes – he is also a value to me, and he is always punctual (and understanding when I am not). John is the real deal.
Bruno was always cooperative with my busy schedule and never made me feel bad about not being able to get a workout in one week. I’m prone to injuries from past sports and he helped recover from my injuries by teaching me the right technique in common exercises I do. I would recommend anyone to go to him. He is very educated and has a lot of experience.
